Christine Coles
For the past ten years, Christine has
certainly earned her reputation as one of the North's most popular,
and loved comediennes. Starting out in her native South Yorkshire,
Christine's career began in the Working Men's Clubs; venues that don't
like to give male comedians a chance, let alone females. From this,
she learnt to handle any type of audience, always giving back more
than she took. Nowadays, Christine is as at home working in the After
Dinner environment as she is treading the boards of the clubs from
the Midlands to the North East. Ladies evenings are a particular favourite,
with her anti male humour appreciated by her many female fans. Christine
still works regularly for Pontins during the summer, alongside the
clubs and company functions. |

Mike Kelly
If you're looking for one of the most experienced
ad-lib comedy after dinner speakers then Mike Kelly is for you. His
brilliantly quick mind will have your audience in hysterics with his
fast off the cuff remarks. Mike, a former insurance broker, tired of
paperwork, and dealing with accounts for many national companies, so,
like many good Yorkshire men, sent his wife to work to enable him to
concentrate on becoming a full time comedian. Therefore, off he set
to learn his trade around the many clubs in the North of England. Following
national exposure on the highly popular TV series, "The Comedians," he
was soon appearing all around the country in summer shows and corporate
promotions, as well as the leading cabaret venues of the day. At this
time Mike also found he was in demand as a character actor, by television
production companies and has played many roles in a succession of high
profile TV series. Nowadays Mike concentrates on the after dinner market,
where is popularity has rapidly grown. At home on a golf day, sports
dinner or corporate event, Mike's brand of humour is equally received
by all, whether it be all male, mixed or of any age group. He is at
his best in a situation where many of the guests are known to each
other. Even though the boss may "take a little stick" it is at all
times given in the best of taste, and no one will ever find they have
been offended against.

Lee Roy James
If you could use the term "Serving your time" in
show business, it would aptly apply to Lee Roy. He started at the age
of 13, playing in a group in his native Ireland. At the age of' 20
he turned professional with, what was a phenomenon of the 60's &:
70's, The Irish show bands. After a few years the desire to be a solo
performer dominated him so he came to Britain, and, within a short
time was established as a singer of note. He was always in demand supporting
many top names in the clubs. After a few summer seasons on mainland
England Lee Roy went to the Isle of Man to do a summer season and ended
up doing 9 continuous summer seasons. At his peak performing an amazing
27 shows a week. At this time his natural laid back humour began to
evolve and he found he could easily make people laugh. On tour in Germany
he took a "short cut" home, and found himself on the Costa Del Sol,
in southern Spain, there he came into his own. Nightly he would go
on stage, for over 2 hours he would have an audience in the palm of
his hand with his stories, wit, & beautiful singing voice. People
would come back to the Costa del Sol every year - just so Lee Roy could
be part of their holiday. It was in Spain that someone thought up the
slogan "The Natter & The Patter". Here is an act who is a total
dedicated professional, an act who can be relied on. As Lee Roy himself
admits, "the most important people are the audience, it's my job
I try to please them and I give 100%". Lee Roy is such an easy
going fellow a well known promoter was once heard to say "he is
so laid back he should be propped up". It takes a lot of professionalism
to be able to earn an accolade like that. Lee Roy James has also performed
in the Channel Islands and in the United States, (Florida & Nashville),
he was equally successful in making the people of America fall prey
to his humour and that is not an easy thing to do.Lee Roy is now available
for bookings world-wide as either an After Dinner Raconteur, as a stand-up
Comedian, or in Cabaret where he can use his amazing vocal talents. |
