Club
Baize (formerly known as Sothall Snooker and Leisure Club) has
been at the centre of the Beighton and Sothall communities since
the beginning of the last century.
Club Baize started as primarily a snooker club
but has since expanded into a modern leisure venue, retaining
the 7-table snooker room but also incorporating a plush main
bar area and 2 separate function rooms available for
private hire.
Apart from snooker, the club also is supported
by several successful sports teams including darts and fishing
clubs and even hosts the largest Texas Hold'em poker event in
Sheffield every Tuesday night.
In 2007 the club saw a major refurbishment,
including the building of an outdoor
beer garden, which has turned it from an already excellent venue
to the best in the region, and in 2009 the next phase of redevelopment
went through, with our 'Spankys' Function room being extended,
large enough to seat another 100 people, and the addition of
a stage and a complete refit of our kitchens, allowing us to
further improve our catering facilities.
These latest investments have made what was already
a superb leisure facility into what is no undoubtedly the best
in the region. |
